Also it is beautifully fine to say "at the conclusion of the week" in American English so I do think this boils right down to Us citizens and Brits conceptualizing the phrase "weekend" otherwise (either pretty much "the tip"=position in time and by extension the time prior to it, or "conclusion"=a Specific, named span of your time)?????????????? �
